”The first version of Peeping Tom relates to Internet pornography, which both fascinates and disgusts. The flesh that is offered there is degraded, both literally and technically. I took images with digital degradations, juxtaposing them to create almost psychedelic effects. The person who triggers these images is confronted with their own voyeurism. I subject him to what he subjects others, by fixing my big ocular globe on him and following him as he moves in front of the work; the voyeur is caught at his own game. There is a real disturbance in being spied upon in this way by a huge eye. We are living in an age of widespread voyeurism, yet it is rarely called into question. With Facebook, for example, voyeurism has become a new norm.
